Terms of Service

Effective July 30, 2026

JokeDay is operated by Around The Hoop Holdings, LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). By signing up, you agree to these terms.

The service

JokeDay sends you one curated joke per day via SMS, matched to your humor preferences. That’s it. No app, no account login required, no social features.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old and have a US mobile phone number capable of receiving SMS. By signing up, you represent that you are the account holder or authorized user of the phone number you provide.

Free trial

New subscribers receive 10 free jokes. Your trial begins the day you verify your phone number. The welcome joke on day 1 does not count toward the 10.

Pricing & payment

• After your free trial, JokeDay is available as a paid annual subscription. Pricing is shown on the payment page at the time of purchase.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the price shown at checkout until you cancel.
• Whatever price you join at is your price for as long as you remain subscribed.
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We accept major credit/debit cards and Apple Pay.
• You can cancel anytime — see “Cancellation” below.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time by:

• Replying STOP to any JokeDay message.
• Using the one-tap cancel in your account portal.

When you cancel, your jokes stop immediately. If you cancel a paid subscription, you will not be charged again. We do not offer partial refunds for unused time within a billing period.

SMS consent & messaging

• By providing your phone number, you consent to receive recurring automated text messages from JokeDay.
• Message frequency: 1 message per day, plus occasional transactional messages.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to cancel. Reply HELP for help.
• Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Content

Jokes are curated for humor and quality. While we match content to your stated preferences (including edginess level), humor is subjective and we cannot guarantee every joke will land. We do not generate or endorse the views expressed in any joke. No jokes are attributed to or represent any real comedian.

Intellectual property

The JokeDay name, design, and selection engine are our property. Jokes in our catalog are original, public domain, or used with appropriate rights. You may share individual jokes you receive — we’d love that.

Limitation of liability

JokeDay is provided “as is.” We are not liable for missed deliveries, carrier filtering, or jokes that don’t make you laugh. Our total liability is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the past 12 months.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via SMS before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Massachusetts.
